Over £2 Million Seized from Andrew and Tristan Tate Amid Tax Evasion Claims
More than £2 million has been seized from Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate following claims that the brothers owe millions in unpaid taxes from their online businesses. This action comes after a ruling by Westminster Magistrates Court.
The seized funds are held in seven frozen bank accounts associated with the Tates and a woman identified only as "J." The Tates reportedly deposited under $12 million into an account in J's name and opened a second account, despite her having no involvement in their business operations.
Andrew Tate has publicly criticized the court's ruling, stating, "This is not justice; it’s a co-ordinated attack." He alleged that authorities labeled him a human trafficker without evidence and accused them of theft for freezing his accounts for over two years.
Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring described the financial dealings as a "complex financial matrix" that constituted a "straightforward cheat of the revenue." Some of the seized assets include cryptocurrency linked to J’s account.
In response to the ruling, Tate expressed concerns over state actions against individuals who challenge the system, saying, "Speak against the Matrix, and they’ll come for your freedom, your reputation, and your livelihood."
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police stated their determination to demonstrate that the Tates evaded taxes and laundered money through accounts located in Devon. The investigation focuses on substantial earnings from 2014 to 2022, during which no tax or VAT was reportedly paid.
Previous hearings have characterized the brothers as "serial tax and VAT evaders," with evidence suggesting a deliberate strategy to ignore tax obligations. In July, it was revealed that J received a substantial payment of £805,000 into her Revolut account.
Additionally, the Tates face serious criminal allegations in Romania, where they are accused of human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to exploit women, with Andrew Tate facing charges of rape.
They are set to be extradited to the UK in connection with these allegations.
