YPP Members Defect to APC, Endorse Paul Chukwuma for Anambra 2025 Governorship

In a major political shift ahead of the Anambra 2025 gubernatorial election, several members of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring their support for Paul Chukwuma’s governorship ambition.

The defectors, including notable figures such as Hon. Amobi Okonkwo, Hon. Chigbo Uzor (YPP Secretary, Nnewi North LGA), Hon. Ugochukwu Ofodile, and others, cited Chukwuma’s leadership qualities, vision, and potential to attract federal government support as key reasons for their decision.

Chukwuma, a former National Auditor of the APC, has built a reputation in business, publishing, and politics. His supporters believe he represents hope and development for Anambra, emphasizing his grassroots connections and governance experience.
