Apple May Increase iPhone Prices by 9% to Offset Tariffs – Bank of America Report
A recent analysis by Bank of America suggests that Apple Inc. may raise the prices of its iPhones and other devices by approximately 9% to counter the financial strain caused by tariffs.
The report, led by analyst Wamsi Mohan, indicates that if Apple decides to absorb the additional costs rather than passing them on to consumers, its earnings per share (EPS) could drop by around 26 cents, translating to a 3% decline in profits for 2026.
Mohan also warned that even a modest price hike could impact sales, as some consumers may opt for cheaper alternatives from competing brands. Apple has historically maintained premium pricing on its products, but significant price increases could test customer loyalty, especially in price-sensitive markets.
