TWO WOMEN SUFFER BRAIN HEMORRHAGES AFTER RIDING X2 ????????

In less than a week this July, surgeons at a Southern California hospital treated two women who suffered severe brain hemorrhages after riding the extreme X2 roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Doctors said the injuries resembled the type of brain trauma typically associated with high-speed crashes or violent accidents, where the brain can twist or slam against the skull.

Neither woman had reportedly been involved in a crash or fall.

Instead, both had ridden X2, a notorious attraction featuring rotating seats, near-vertical drops and intense, unpredictable movements.

A CNN investigation has now raised questions about the ride’s history of serious injuries. Six Flags reportedly closed X2 on the evening of July 12, nearly a day after the latest reported injury, and the ride remains closed.

California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health, which oversees amusement-park ride operations, said an inspection is ongoing.

Six Flags declined to answer CNN’s detailed questions about the incidents, saying only that the ride remains closed.
