BREAKING: 15 CORPS MEMBERS REPORTEDLY ABDUCTED IN KOGI ????????????

15 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members have reportedly been abducted by gunmen while returning from their orientation camp in Bayelsa State.

According to a relative who spoke with the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), the corps members were travelling toward Abuja in two buses on August 26, 2026, after completing their orientation programme.

The attack reportedly occurred along the Ofu/Itobe–Onicha-Igo axis of Ofu LGA, Kogi State.

One of the drivers was reportedly injured and left behind, while 15 passengers were allegedly taken by the attackers. Relatives say one of the abducted corps members is Ayodele David.

The victims were reportedly members of the 2026 Batch B Stream II and were travelling in a Peace Mass Transit bus and another vehicle.

The identities of the attackers and their motives have not been independently established, while authorities are expected to provide further updates as investigations and efforts to locate the victims continue.

Families are now waiting anxiously for the safe return of their loved ones. ????????????
