Edo Governor Okpebholo Pledges Justice for Victims of Uromi Killings

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of 16 hunters in Udune, Uromi Local Government Area, calling it "barbaric and unacceptable." During a condolence visit to Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, Okpebholo expressed his deep sorrow and reiterated his commitment to justice for the victims.

The governor revealed that President Bola Tinubu had directed security agencies, including the Inspector General of Police, to track down those responsible for the killings and ensure justice is served. He assured that strong security measures had been put in place to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Security agencies have already arrested 14 suspects in connection with the attack, which Okpebholo described as a violation of the sanctity of human life and contrary to both Islamic and Christian values.
