FIRS Document Contradicts Citadel CEO's Testimony in Zinox Technologies Case
As the legal battle between Citadel Oracle Concept Limited and Zinox Technologies returns to court, a document from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has contradicted claims made under oath by Benjamin Joseph, CEO of Citadel. Joseph had previously stated that he was unaware of any contract executed by his company with FIRS.
In his sworn statement dated June 28, 2019, Joseph asserted that Citadel did not execute any contract with FIRS and that he had no knowledge of any contract awarded to Citadel. However, a letter from the FIRS, dated February 11, 2014, revealed that Citadel had indeed instructed the agency to communicate with Princess O. Kama, an agent for Citadel, regarding the contract. The letter indicated that Citadel had requested FIRS to process payments to their bank account, contradicting Joseph's claims.
Zinox spokesperson, Mr. Chimezie Orisakwe, confirmed the FIRS document, stating that it undermines Joseph's narrative and suggests he had not fully disclosed the situation to his legal counsel at Afe Babalola & Co. Orisakwe emphasized that this revelation likely influenced Afe Babalola's decision to withdraw from representing Joseph.
