EU Moves to Halt €156 Million in Aid to Tanzania

European lawmakers have voted to suspend €156 million in funding to Tanzania, citing widespread human rights violations.

 The bloc is also considering targeted sanctions against Tanzanian politicians deemed responsible for the abuses.
