“YOU’RE 27 AND STILL NOT MARRIED?” HERE’S WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER RUSH INTO MARRIAGE
OU’RE 27 AND STILL NOT MARRIED?” HERE’S WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER RUSH INTO MARRIAGE. ❤️
“Every good partner will be taken.”
“Just say yes, you’ll adjust later.”
“Don’t you think you’re getting too old?”
Sound familiar?
The pressure to get married can feel overwhelming, especially when family and society keep reminding you about your age. But there’s a psychological concept worth understanding: Affective Forecasting Error.
Research by psychologists Daniel Gilbert and Timothy Wilson suggests that people are often poor at predicting how future events will make them feel. We may overestimate the pain of being single at 28 while underestimating the emotional consequences of making a life-changing decision out of fear.
Being single at 28 is not a failure. But rushing into the wrong marriage can bring years of unhappiness, conflict and loneliness, even under the same roof.
Remember: Late is not failure. Wrong is.
Don’t marry just because you’re afraid of running out of time. Choose someone who brings you peace, respect and genuine happiness, not just a wedding date.
Comment “WORTH THE WAIT” if you agree. ❤️
