Golf legend Tiger Woods has agreed not to contest a reckless-driving charge as part of a plea deal with prosecutors, avoiding the original DUI charge stemming from a rollover crash in Florida.

Under the agreement, Woods will serve a five-year suspension of his driving licence and pay a $1,000 fine.

Woods was arrested following the March crash in Martin County. He reportedly passed a breathalyser test but declined additional testing for other drugs.

He had pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and refusing to submit to testing.
