Sowore Calls for Global Protest to Free Dele Farotimi on December 10

Nigerian activist Omoyele Sowore has announced a global protest aimed at demanding the release of Dele Farotimi, a prominent activist facing legal challenges. The protests are set to take place both online and offline, with coordinated events scheduled across various locations. In Abuja, participants will converge at the Ministry of Justice and the Federal High Court, while in Ekiti, the Police Headquarters in Ado-Ekiti will serve as the gathering point. Lagos activists will meet at the Afe Babalola Chambers, located at Emmanuel House, Plot 1, Block 4, CMD/Jubilee Road, Magodo GRA. Additionally, supporters in London will gather at King's College London, located on the Strand. The protests are scheduled for December 10, 2024, starting at 7 AM West African Time.
