Delta State Government Denies Rumors of Governor Oborevwori’s Defection to APC

The Delta State government has officially refuted rumors regarding Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's alleged plan to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

In recent weeks, speculation has circulated about the governor's potential shift in political allegiance. 

However, during a press conference held on Monday in Asaba, Charles Aniagwu, the state commissioner for Works (Rural Roads and Public Information), firmly dismissed these claims. 

Aniagwu emphasized that Governor Oborevwori is a "proud member" of the PDP and affirmed that there are no intentions—now or in the future—of him leaving the party for the APC.

 This statement aims to quell the rising concerns among party members and supporters, reinforcing the governor's commitment to the PDP amidst ongoing political discussions in the state.
