China to Make AI Education Mandatory for All Students Starting September 1

Starting September 1, China will mandate Artificial Intelligence (AI) education for all students, beginning at age six. 

The new policy requires schools to provide at least eight hours of AI instruction per academic year, either through dedicated courses or integrated into subjects like science and computing.

The curriculum will be age appropriate, with younger students introduced to basic AI concepts and everyday applications. As students progress, they will dive deeper into topics such as coding, neural networks, and the ethical implications of AI technology.
