Vice President Shettima Jokes About Political Jabs at Atiku Ahead of 2027 Elections

Vice President Kashim Shettima playfully addressed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar during a symposium in Abuja on February 6, 2025, celebrating the 60th birthday of Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Ekiti State.

 Shettima acknowledged his respect for Atiku but humorously stated that this would not prevent him from throwing political jabs as the 2027 general elections approach.

Recalling his role in the 2023 presidential election, Shettima referred to himself as an 

"adjunct provocateur" who took "hot shots" at Atiku, but noted that Atiku handled the criticisms with composure.
