Speaker Abbas to North West Development Commission: "We Have High Expectations of You"

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has assured the North West Development Commission (NWDC) of the full support of the National Assembly to ensure its success.

In a statement by Musa Abdullahi Krishi, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Speaker, Abbas emphasized the critical role the NWDC must play in addressing the pressing challenges of the North West region, including insurgency, banditry, unemployment, and drug-related issues.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the pioneer board of the NWDC on Wednesday, Abbas noted:
"The National Assembly has high expectations of your performance. We will be keeping a keen eye on how you fare. The North West is the worst hit by insecurity and economic hardship, so your work is vital.
