Senator Neda Imasuen Backs Tinubu for Second Term, Criticizes Labour Party Leadership
Senator Neda Imasuen of the Labour Party (LP), representing Edo South, has expressed strong support for President Bola Tinubu, declaring that the President deserves a second term in 2027 due to his courageous leadership. Imasuen praised Tinubu for his "unbelievable strong courage" in guiding the country through difficult times, emphasizing that the South should maintain the presidency in the upcoming election cycle.
Additionally, Imasuen backed the Supreme Court ruling that ousted Julius Abure as the national chairman of the Labour Party, accusing Abure of lacking true dedication to the party's advancement. Imasuen, who chairs the Senate Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Public Petitions, is currently the only Labour Party senator in Edo State, with the other two senatorial districts being represented by members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), including former governor Adams Oshiomhole
