Nigerian Senate Summons Security Chiefs Over Alleged USAID Funding of Boko Haram

The Nigerian Senate has summoned top security officials, including the National Security Adviser (NSA), the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (DG NIA), the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DG DSS), and the Director-General of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DG DIA), for a closed-door briefing regarding allegations that USAID is funding Boko Haram in Nigeria.

The summons comes amid growing concerns over external influences in Nigeria’s fight against terrorism. 

While no concrete evidence has been publicly disclosed, the Senate aims to investigate these claims thoroughly to determine their validity and assess any potential security threats.
