Chief Magistrate Ejke King George of the Rivers State Judiciary has officially tendered his resignation, expressing discomfort with the state's evolving political climate. 

In his resignation, George pointed to the recent installation of what he described as a "quasi-military administration" in the state, stating that it no longer aligns with his principles or the judiciary's independence.
