PDP Governors Distance Themselves from Atiku, El-Rufai, and Obi Political Alliance

Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have publicly dissociated themselves from a newly proposed alliance involving key opposition figures Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, and Peter Obi.

At a meeting held in Ibadan on Monday, the 12 PDP governors under the leadership of Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed expressed their disapproval of the political coalition, which is being championed by Atiku, the party’s 2023 presidential candidate. The alliance also includes former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and Labour Party’s Peter Obi, who also contested the 2023 presidency
