NNPCL Exceeds Revenue Projections; Customs Service Reports Record Earnings
Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), announced at the National Assembly that the company has exceeded its projected revenue for 2024. NNPCL has generated N13.1 trillion, surpassing the initial target of N12.3 trillion. Looking ahead, Kyari projected that NNPCL aims to remit N23.7 trillion into the Federation Account for the 2025 fiscal year.
In a related presentation, Bashir Adeniyi, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, reported that the agency generated N5.35 trillion in revenue by September 30, exceeding the N5.09 trillion target set for the entire 2024 fiscal year. Adeniyi outlined ambitious goals for the future, indicating that the projected revenue for 2025 is set at N6.3 trillion, with plans to increase this figure by 10% for 2026 and again by 10% for the fiscal year 2027.
