Lagos Environmental Taskforce Conducts Sting Operation, Arrests 53 for Drug Offenses

Following discreet surveillance exercises targeting known hotspots, the Lagos State Environmental Taskforce conducted a raid today at several locations, including the notorious 31 Road junction, Bless Jah Street, Adenle Crescent, and Owo Omo Osho Street in Gowon Estate, as well as a section of Okunola Road in Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Alimosho LGA.

The sting operation resulted in the arrest of 53 individuals suspected of being dealers and users of illicit substances, who had turned these areas into a haven for drug-related activities. During the raid, law enforcement recovered a significant quantity of various illicit drugs, including Colorado, a substance believed to be Kanedian Loud Hemp, Tramadol capsules, Codeine syrups, and other illicit items. Additionally, several weighing scales, packs of Indian hemp crushers, and knives were seized from the suspects.

All arrested individuals will face charges in court, as authorities continue their efforts to combat drug-related crimes and ensure the safety of the community.
