Nigeria has officially been removed from the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) debtor nations list after fully repaying its outstanding obligations.
According to the IMF’s latest report titled "Total IMF Credit Outstanding Movement from May 01, 2025, to May 06, 2025," Nigeria no longer appears among the 91 countries collectively owing the IMF $117.8 billion as of May 6
