CBN Governor Criticizes Poor Reading Culture 

Olayemi Cardoso, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has raised concerns over Nigerians’ lack of engagement with vital policy documents. 

He revealed that only about 2,000 people have downloaded an important economic report recently.

Cardoso made the remarks on Monday in Abuja during the launch of the May 2025 edition of the World Bank’s Nigeria Development Update (NDU). While praising the report as valuable and concise, he expressed disappointment that both the public and policymakers largely overlook it.
