Namibia Swears in First Female President, Nandi-Ndaitwah

Namibia has made history as Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah was sworn in as the country's first female president. 

The landmark event was attended by several African and global leaders, marking a new chapter in Namibia’s political landscape.

Nandi-Ndaitwah, who previously served as Vice President and Minister, emphasized in her speech, "I was elected on merit, not because I'm a woman." 

She vowed to lead with integrity and continue advancing Namibia’s development
