Tinubu Calls for Unity and Ranching Reforms During Town Hall on Benue Yelewata Crisis
In the wake of the devastating Yelewata attack in Benue State, President Bola Tinubu convened a town hall meeting where he laid out a series of directives aimed at restoring peace and preventing future violence.
Among his proposals was the formation of a Council of Elders that would include all former governors from the region, including a former Governor of Nasarawa State, to foster dialogue and wisdom-driven leadership.
President Tinubu also urged the Benue State Governor to allocate land for ranching as a long-term solution to the ongoing farmer-herder conflicts.
He called on citizens across Benue to stand together in unity and work collaboratively for peace.
