Massive Plasma Wall Captured on the Sun by NASA Observatory

A colossal plasma wall has been observed rippling across the surface of the Sun, captured in striking multi-wavelength imagery by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory.

 The dramatic event shows the sheer power and complexity of our star’s magnetic activity.

These enormous structures are composed of ionized gas shaped by the Sun’s magnetic fields. In this case, the plasma towered to heights comparable to several Earths stacked vertically, forming what looked like a solid barrier stretching across the solar atmosphere.
