“I Just Wanted to Play Football” – Juventus Star Tim Weah Recalls Awkward White House Visit

Juventus and U.S. international footballer Tim Weah has opened up about the uncomfortable moment during their recent visit to the White House, revealing he felt obligated to attend and found the political discussions out of place.

“They told us that we have to go and I had no choice but to do it,” Weah said, referring to the visit during Donald Trump's presidency.

 He added that he felt uneasy when the former president began speaking about international politics, particularly issues concerning Iran.

“When he started talking about the politics with Iran and everything, it was kind of like, I just want to play football, man,” he admitted
