In the UK first, 36-year-old Grace Davidson, who was born without a womb, has successfully given birth to a healthy baby girl after undergoing a womb transplant from her sister.

 Grace and her husband, Angus, 37, celebrated the birth of baby Amy Isabel on February 27, describing it as "the greatest gift we could ever have asked for."

The birth took place at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital in London, where a team of 20 doctors and nurses were on standby for the caesarean section delivery. Fortunately, Amy was born healthy, weighing 4.5 pounds, and required no specialist care.
