EFCC Chairman Advocates Integrity Screening for Public Officers to Tackle Corruption

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has proposed mandatory integrity assessments for public officials across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) as a key strategy to curb corruption and financial misconduct in Nigeria’s public sector.

Speaking through the EFCC’s Director of Public Affairs, Commander CE Wilson Uwujaren, at the National Conference on Public Accounts and Fiscal Governance in Abuja on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, Olukoyede emphasized that sustainable reforms are impossible without credible individuals in positions of power. 

“No system will work without the right people. That’s why the EFCC is pushing for integrity testing for public officers across all MDAs,” he stated.
