Dangote, Otedola, Adenuga, and Rabiu Make 2025 Forbes Billionaires List

Nigerian business moguls Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Mike Adenuga, and Abdulsamad Rabiu have been named in the 2025 Forbes Billionaires List, released on March 29. They are the only Nigerians featured in this year’s rankings, with Dangote retaining his title as Africa’s richest man for the 14th consecutive year.

Dangote, the owner of Dangote Refinery, saw his net worth skyrocket from $13.9 billion in 2024 to $23.9 billion, largely due to the valuation of his refinery, which became operational last year.

Mike Adenuga, chairman of Globacom, ranked as Africa’s fifth richest person with $6.8 billion, while BUA Group’s Abdulsamad Rabiu followed closely with $5.1 billion. Femi Otedola, chairman of First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) Holdings Plc, was listed in joint 16th place with a fortune of $1.5 billion.
