Covenant University Tops 2025 Times Ranking of Nigeria’s Best Universities

Covenant University has once again claimed the top spot in the 2025 Times Higher Education ranking of Nigerian universities, maintaining its lead in academic excellence and global recognition.

The private institution, based in Ogun State, leads a diverse list of top-performing universities across the country. Following closely behind are Ahmadu Bello University and Landmark University, taking second and third place, respectively.

Traditional academic powerhouses like the University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, and Bayero University Kano also made the top ten, showcasing Nigeria’s regional diversity in higher education excellence
