Benue Police Accused of Fatally Shooting Federal University Wukari Student

Police officers from the Benue State Police Command, Makurdi E Division, are under scrutiny following allegations that they fatally shot a young woman named Ahenjir Emmanuella.

The tragic incident reportedly took place in the early hours of Friday, May 16, 2025, at Wurukum Roundabout in Makurdi. Emmanuella was a student at the Federal University Wukari.

Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear. However, Benue activist Ukan Kurugh shared on Facebook that a bullet fired by the officers struck the vehicle Emmanuella was traveling in, resulting in her death.
