Benin Dismisses Accusations from Niger, Summons Chargé d’Affaires

Benin’s foreign ministry has dismissed recent claims made against the country as baseless, announcing the summoning of Niger’s chargé d’affaires in a statement on X. 

“Due to the unfounded accusations made against our country, the chargé d’affaires of Niger has been summoned,” the statement reads. 

Benin's foreign minister, Olushegun Bakari, has sent an official letter to the diplomat, reaffirming the nation's commitment to dialogue and fraternal collaboration between the two countries.
