Anant Ambani Buys $1.6 Million Armored Dartz SUV

Anant Ambani, part of India’s wealthiest family, has recently added a $1.6 million Dartz Prombron to his collection, a luxurious armored SUV built on the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 platform. 

The Latvia-based company Dartz has reinforced the vehicle's body to withstand .50-caliber armor-piercing rounds, and both the exterior panels and interior trim are coated in real gold leaf.

Under the hood, a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine produces approximately 800 horsepower, enabling the three-ton armored vehicle to reach 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds
