AfDB President Adesina Urges Africa to Begin Local Car Production

President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, has called on Nigeria and other African nations to end their overreliance on imported vehicles.

Speaking at a recent event, Adesina stressed the urgent need for the continent to begin manufacturing its own automobiles, noting that continued dependence on car imports undermines economic growth and industrialization efforts.

“Africa cannot continue importing cars. We must start producing our own,” he declared
