In an emotional message addressed to the people of Haiti, a foreign leader has insisted that their country’s military deployment is not an invasion or an attempt to dominate Haiti, but an effort to recover four missing aerotechnicians and confront the armed gangs terrorising local communities.

The speaker stressed that the mission is largely being funded by their own country, with more than 90% of the costs reportedly covered by them, despite receiving some logistical assistance from other nations.

Drawing comparisons with their own country’s painful history of violence and instability, the speaker said they understand what it means to live in fear, lose loved ones and struggle to trust those promising help.

They insisted that their mission is not about making money or taking Haiti’s resources, but about helping the country confront the gangs responsible for widespread suffering.

The message ended with a call for the Haitian people to have faith, pray for their nation and work together towards peace, quoting 2 Chronicles 7:14:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray… then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

The speaker also promised that the troops would return home once their mission was completed, hoping that future generations of Haitians would remember them as friends who came to help.
