EFCC Arraigns Men for Failing to Produce Chinese Man
The Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Shehu Abdu and Isah Saidu before Justice A. Isiaka on Monday, June 2, 2025, on charges of giving false information to the Commission.
According to the EFCC, the defendants falsely claimed to be friends of Ji Zhou, a Chinese national arrested for illegal mining of solid minerals and economic sabotage. Abdu and Saidu stood as sureties for Zhou’s administrative bail, assuring the Commission that they knew him well and would produce him when required. They agreed to forfeit a ₦10 million bail bond if they failed to do so
