Trump Administration Revokes Harvard's Authorization to Enroll International Students, Including Nigerians
The Trump administration has withdrawn Harvard University’s permission to enroll international students, affecting Nigerians among others.
This directive, issued by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, means Harvard can no longer admit new foreign students, and those already enrolled must transfer to other institutions or risk losing their legal status.
According to CNN, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) cited Harvard’s failure to comply with federal immigration demands as the reason for the move. DHS had previously required Harvard to provide records of international students involved in "illegal and violent activities" by April 30, warning that noncompliance would threaten the university’s certification
