Sultan of Sokoto Demands Urgent Action to Stop Killings in Northern Nigeria

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar I, has expressed deep frustration over the persistent violence plaguing Northern Nigeria, declaring that traditional rulers are now more alarmed than many political leaders.

Speaking during the 7th Executive Committee Meeting of the Northern Traditional Rulers Council in Maiduguri, the Sultan called for immediate and decisive steps to halt the ongoing bloodshed.

“We’ve released countless statements condemning these senseless killings. But how long must we keep talking without results? The time for action is now,” he said firmly.
