South African Church Hosts Easter Mass Wedding for 1,500 Couples, Including Polygamous Unions
In a striking Easter celebration, the International Pentecost Holiness Church in South Africa held a mass wedding for about 1,500 couples, including several polygamous unions.
The church, which embraces polygamy as part of its tradition and African cultural heritage, saw some men take multiple wives during the ceremony with a few marrying their sixth or seventh spouse.
According to church spokesperson Vusi Ndala, “Polygamy is not only embraced but held in high regard in the church.”
