Senate to Debate Motion on Alleged ‘Systemic Genocide’ Against Christians in Nigeria
The Nigerian Senate is set to deliberate on a motion addressing allegations of a “systemic genocide” targeting Christians in the country when plenary resumes on Tuesday.
The motion, sponsored by Senator Ali Ndume and co-sponsored by Senators Sani Musa, Aliyu Wamakko, and Ibrahim Bomai, is titled “Urgent Need to Correct Misconceptions Regarding the Purported 'Christian Genocide’ Narrative in Nigeria and International Communities.”
