SEC DG Emomotimi Agama Claims Tinubu Endorsed Cryptocurrency Before Trump
Emomotimi Agama, the Director General of the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), has asserted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu endorsed the cryptocurrency industry well before former U.S. President Donald Trump. Agama made this declaration during an event in Casablanca, Morocco, highlighting Tinubu's commitment to the sector.
Agama noted that his appointment as the head of the SEC reflects Tinubu's long-standing affinity for cryptocurrency. "I have been an enthusiast of Cryptocurrency, and the president deemed it fit to make me the DG of the SEC, and that is phenomenal," he stated.
He emphasized that Tinubu's forward-thinking approach to cryptocurrency preceded any similar considerations by Trump, suggesting that Nigeria is taking proactive steps in embracing the digital currency landscape
