President Tinubu Has Committed an Impeachable Offense – Reuben Abati

Veteran journalist and political analyst, Reuben Abati, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s decision to remove Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, describing it as an impeachable offense.

Speaking on the matter, Abati argued that Tinubu’s action violates the 1999 Constitution, as no section grants the president the power to unilaterally remove a sitting governor. He warned that such a move undermines democracy and sets a dangerous precedent for Nigeria’s governance.
