Peter Obi Criticizes Tinubu Over Rivers State Political Crisis

Former Anambra State Governor and 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has criticized President Bola Tinubu over the recent suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara in Rivers State.

Speaking at a public function in Abuja on March 24, Obi recalled how, during his tenure as governor, the president (Tinubu) intervened to prevent his impeachment. However, he noted the irony that Tinubu has now overseen the removal of another sitting governor.

"When I was being impeached, the president sent people to intervene on my behalf, begging the House people not to impeach me. Today, the president impeached the person," Obi stated
