Oshiomhole Blames Buhari-Era Excessive Money Printing for Naira Collapse
Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who represents Edo North, has attributed the collapse of the naira and the current economic hardship to excessive money printing during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking on Saturday at the Progressives Governors Forum’s meeting and interactive session in Edo State, Oshiomhole said the foundation of today’s cost of living crisis and the naira’s instability was laid by unchecked money supply through the “ways and means” lending system used under the previous government.
“We are emerging from an era where the country was on the verge of becoming like Zimbabwe or Idi Amin’s Uganda in terms of uncontrolled money printing,” Oshiomhole remarked
