NNPP Weighs Options
The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) is currently evaluating its next political move ahead of the 2027 elections, according to its National Publicity Secretary, Ladipo Johnson.
Speaking recently, Johnson outlined three possible paths for the party: remaining within the NNPP as it is, forging a coalition with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other political figures, or entering into an alliance with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He explained that the Kwankwasiyya movement, which forms the backbone of the NNPP, traditionally waits until the midterm point of any administration marked this year on May 29 before making major political decisions
