Nigeria commits roughly $10 billion every year to the importation of agricultural products, according to the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari.
He revealed that a large portion of the expenditure goes into bringing in essential commodities such as wheat and fish, underscoring the country’s heavy reliance on foreign food supplies
