Nigerian Man Sentenced to 75 Months for Mail Fraud and Identity Theft in the US
United States Attorney Susan T. Lehr announced that Edwin Okoronkwo, a 36-year-old Nigerian man, has been sentenced to 75 months in federal prison in Omaha, Nebraska, for conspiracy to commit mail fraud and aggravated identity theft.
The sentencing was confirmed in a press statement released by the US Department of Justice on February 6, 2025.
Judge Brian C. Buescher presided over the case, emphasizing that there is no parole in the federal system
