Nigerian Army Launches Major Offensive in Kwara Forests
The Nigerian Army has deployed an entire brigade with heavy military equipment to parts of Kwara State in a fresh and determined push to crush kidnapping networks operating from the state’s forests.
On Wednesday, troops and armored vehicles were seen moving through communities in Ifelodun Local Government, including Oke Ode and Babanla, as the operation gained momentum. The offensive will also cover Edu and Patigi LGAs areas long used by kidnappers as operational bases for ransom abductions.
