Namibia Makes History as First African Nation with Women in Top Three Leadership Roles

In 2025, Namibia achieved a groundbreaking milestone in African politics, with women occupying its three highest offices. 

President Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah leads the nation alongside Vice President Lucia Witbooi, while Saara Kuugongelwa Amadhila serves as Speaker of the National Assembly. 

This marks the first time in Africa that the presidency, vice presidency, and parliamentary leadership are all held by women.
